Garagey
Last updated 28 July 2026
Garagey keeps your car records on your phone. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third party trackers of any kind. This page explains the few cases where data does leave your device, all of which you choose to switch on.
Everything you enter goes into a database on your own device: your cars, service history, reminders, issues, notes, mileage, and your app settings. The app is fully usable this way, with no account and no internet connection.
An account is optional. It exists so your garage can appear on more than one phone and so you can share a car with somebody else. If you create one, your records are copied to our hosted database so they can sync.
| Data | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| Email address and password | Stored by our authentication provider, Supabase. The password is stored hashed, and we never see it. |
| Cars: make, model, year, nickname, plate, VIN, mileage | Synced to your account so your other devices can read them. |
| Service records, reminders, issues, notes, mileage logs | Synced to your account. |
| Settings: theme, units, currency | Synced to your account. |
| Photos | Never leave your device. Receipt and issue photos stay in the app's local storage. There is no place for them in our database and they are never uploaded. |
Access to your records is enforced at the database level. Your rows are readable only by your account and by anyone you have explicitly shared a specific car with.
You can invite somebody to a car by entering their email address, as an editor who can add records or a viewer who can only read. That email address is stored so the invitation can be matched when they sign in. The person you invite can see that car's records, and nothing else in your garage. You can remove their access at any time, and doing so removes that car from their device.
Garagey can show a studio render of your car instead of a drawn outline. This is a setting you choose, under Settings, Car imagery.
That request contains only the car's make, model, and year. It does not contain your plate, your VIN, your mileage, your email, your name, or any identifier for you or your device. imagin.studio handles those requests under its own privacy policy.
That is the complete list. Garagey contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no social network SDK. We do not sell or share your data, and there is nothing in the app that profiles you or tracks you across other apps or websites.
To request deletion of your account, or a copy of what is stored for it, contact us using the link below and we will action it.
Garagey is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and the previous versions remain visible in the public repository this page is published from.
